skytrex recap

sabtu pagi lepas, aku pegi skytrex lagi. kz was organizing this activity for cobra and i was invited to join along. the more the merrier katanya. semua sekali pagi tu ada 23 orang! oh ya..cobra actually is kz's netball team.

sebelum mula aktiviti ni, ada compulsory short briefing. dengar aje lah. aku pun ala-ala dah lupa cara-cara nak guna harness tu semua. tak payah lah nak cakap "i'm good" tapi bila sampai masa buat, tak reti kan..

the same circuit and the same challenges. aku agak mesti abis lambat sebab besar jugak group kitorang ni. but suprisingly, it went smooth and fast and we managed to finished it in about 2 hours. walaupun ada jugak yang insaf kat atas pokok-pokok tu.

great to be under the morning sun. kz, nanti kita tukar-tukar aktiviti lagi..

mamma mia!

finally, the smash hit musical mamma mia! came to kl from london's west end. based on the hit songs of swedish pop group ABBA from 70s to 80s, this musical has been travelled all around the world and seen by over 30 million people since it's opening in 1999.

on the first night of 2009, i was one of the crowds enjoying this spectacular show. tun mahathir dan tun siti hasmah were also there. it was actually to be the final show but due to over whelming response, the musical was extended for another 3 nights.

in the town of royal throne

on our way back to kl, we made a stop at kuala kangsar. oc nak singgah rumah dia kejap. my first time in this royal town of perak. mula-mula sekali pegi makan laksa kat medan selera tepi sungai perak tu. oc tunjuk lah rumah dia kat seberang sungai tu. dulu-dulu kata oc, kena naik sampan menyeberang sungai kalau nak ke pekan. sebab jambatannya jauh. tapi sekarang pun boleh naik sampan kalau malas nak pusing ikut jambatan baru.

kat gerai tu, aku tengok kat menunya ada tulis laksa, laksa telur dan laksa bungkus. dengan yakinnya aku pun tanya "laksa bungkus tu laksa macamana?". abang tu pun jawab "laksa untuk bungkus bawak balik". ceh...

lepas tu pusing-pusing bandar. plenty of old historical buildings. salah-satu adalah mckk. besar jugak sekolah ni. then we drove around bukit chandan. here is where masjid ubudiah, istana iskandariah and istana kenangan which is now the royal museum are situated.

kampung oc memang betul-betul tepi sungai perak. peaceful..

we safely arrived kl on the eve of 2009.
