cameron highlands 08 : sun, 22-jun

awal pagi lagi keluar dari hotel. try to avoid crowds. naik ke brinchang dan terus ke ladang teh boh sungei palas. jalan sempit yang berbelit-belit. the scenery of the plantation is spectacular. the whole hill is like carpeted with green grass. we stop twice to take a closer look at the plant and to snap photos of course. sejuk betul angin pagi ni…

we have breakfast at the tea center’s café. scone and tea. duduk kat balkoni berlatarkan bukit yang hijau. dengan hembusan angin pagi. totally nice and refreshing. then, take a brief tour at the tea center and the factory. wonder where does the name BOH comes from. dan sebelum diambil alih oleh boh, nama asal teh ni adalah teh harimau. the factory now has a tile floor and a glass wall which separates the visitor and the working area. rasa macam kurang seronok pulak.

dari teh, ke strawberry pulak. the place called mountain farm and located somewhere in the middle of the tea plantation. ikut lagi jalan sempit yang berpusing-pusing tu. pemandangan ladang teh kat sini lebih cantik.

here, we can pluck our own strawberry. tak ramai yang datang tempat ni jadi bagus lah sebab tak perlu nak berebut strawberry. banyak jugak yang sedang berbuah dan menurut pekerja kat sini, buah strawberry biasanya lebih besar pada pertengahan tahun disebabkan factor cuaca.

sebelum turun ke tanah rata, berhenti dulu kat kea farm. deretan gerai yang menjual pelbagai hasil tanaman cameron. ada bunga kobis ungu dan hijau. ada kichan (putik bunga) goreng. ada macam-macam jenis bunga yang macam-macam warna. yang paling popular semestinya strawberry dan sayur. murah pulak tu. penuh dah kereta dan bas sepanjang tepi jalan.

we have our lunch at auntie rosie kopitiam at brinchang. tapi kopitiam pada nama dan konsep aje. the food is like any other malay restaurant. balik hotel lepas lunch. mak nak rehat kejap. penat jalan naik turun bukit. but for her age, i really think she has a strong and healthy feet. tak lama lepas tu, hujan turun. best tidur sejuk-sejuk ni. think cameron nowadays is not as cold as it used to be. yang buat sejuk tu anginnya..

the rain finally stops. keluar pegi makan pisang goreng lagi. after that, we drive up and down the hills and in and out the villages to kill time before dinner. there are lots of old colonial bungalows here. one of them is moonlight bungalow which once belongs to jim thompson. and there is this o.m.f. bungalow which i really really love from its gate to the glass wall. sapa lah punya rumah ni agaknya. we also make a stop at kasimanis farm's nursery. hari dah petang maka dengan penuh gigih makcik india ni menjual t-shirt dan epal cameron sebelum kedai tutup katanya kat kitorang.

kemudian jalan-jalan kat pekan dan pasar malam. beli cendawan goreng tapi tak sedap sebab dah sejuk. makin lengang nampaknya cameron ni. esok isnin jadi aku rasa ramai pelancong yang dah pun pulang.

lepas dinner balik hotel. sebenarnya, tak banyak sangat aktiviti yang boleh dibuat kat cameron ni. but to unwind and to enjoy a refreshing cool air, this is the right place.
