memang sebenarnya aku yang susah nak tidur before any trip sebab excited.
bertolak dari armanee jam 5am. sid and resh in one cab. me, zaidi and zach in the other cab. just nice untuk bergossip di awal pagi..hahaha. punya lah ramai manusia kat lcct. tak sanggup dah aku nak beratur for breakfast kat mcD. jadinya duduk lah kitorang kat coffeebean sambil menunggu omar. kesian omar kena tinggalkan dengan aida yang naik thai airways tu...
and finally the flight ak880 took off at 8am and safely landed at 9am.
dari suvarnabhumi, kitorang ambik van terus ke hotel ibis siam yang dipandu selajunya. we left our luggages there and went out again for food. everyone's starving i guess. the nearest bts station is victory monument and is about 10 mins walk. dari victory ke siam dan dari situ berjalan pulak ke the fifth at mbk. the food there was ok je tapi boleh lah for empty stomaches.
from mbk, we walked back to siam paragon cutting through siam center. me, zaidi, zach and resh decided to go to jim thompson factory outlet. the nearest one is at sukhumvit 93. naik bts dari siam ke ong nut. lepas tu menapak bawah terik matahari passing one soi to another soi. dalam map nampak dekat tapi adalah dalam 1km. baru je resh cadang nak naik teksi, dah pun sampai. masing-masing keletihan so we headed straight to the cafe 39 for a drink. the outlet offers wider range of textile and home furnishing accessories. there are also old stocks sold at reduce price and those bags are really cheap! untuk aku, cuma beli passport holder and a polo t-shirt.
on our way back, sempat singgah centralworld dulu. aku suka sangat bangunan ni. a mix of glass and steel. with a touch of pop arts. very modern and contemporary. ingat nak cari kasut tapi tak jumpa yang menarik. harga pun lebih kurang sama kat kl. zen, the anchor store here is having a midnight sale. oh ya..masa jalan kat skybridge tadi ada lah nampak banner "bangkok winter sale". winter?? year-end sales kot.
6pm at the crowded victory monument. it's a peak hour and we're one of those rushing home. tiba-tiba semua orang berhenti dan berdiri tegak. yang tengah pegang tiket depan exit gate pun berhenti. the time was just froze. baru aku sedar rupanya lagu kebangsaan thai tengah berkumandang. kagum!
after a short rest, we went out again. ruang kaki lima kedai mula dipenuhi dengan gerai. nak lalu pun susah. tapi ini lah bangkok. a city that lives from dawn till dusk till dawn again. a city for shopaholics that offers branded goods in luxury malls to imitation goods at night bazaars and sidewalk stalls. a city with hundred of entertaiments that one can't imagine.
we ended our first night with a late dinner at bug&bee silom. lutfi and neo pun ada sekali. pedasnya nasi goreng and tomyam kat sini!
